Last updated: April 2026 · Version 1.0 (Solo experience)
The short version
Your health data never leaves your device. Haven has no accounts, no cloud storage, no analytics on health data, and no way to read what you record. We built Haven so that the data belongs to you — not to us, not to advertisers, and not to anyone who might ask us for it.
01
Haven is developed and operated by Haven IVF. Our contact email is hello@havenivf.com.
For the purposes of UK data protection law, Haven IVF is the data controller. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
02
Everything you record in Haven is stored locally on your device and encrypted. This includes your medication schedules and dose history, appointment and cycle records, hormone and scan tracking entries, journal entries and daily check-ins, mood selections, phase and protocol settings, and your name.
Haven's servers never receive, store, or process any of this data. There is no account, no login, and no cloud sync in version 1.0. Your health data exists only on the device you hold.
If you delete the app, all of this data is permanently erased. There is no backup, no recovery, and nothing for us to retrieve — because we never had it.
03
In version 1.0 (the solo experience), Haven collects no personal data whatsoever. There are no accounts, no email addresses, no analytics, no crash reports containing health data, and no server communication of any kind.
Haven does not use cookies, advertising identifiers, or third-party tracking. Haven does not share data with any third party.
04
Haven links to publicly available YouTube videos demonstrating injection techniques. When you tap a video link, you leave Haven and open the YouTube app or your browser. Haven does not host, stream, or embed video content. YouTube's own privacy policy applies when you view these videos.
05
Haven uses local push notifications for medication reminders, appointment alerts, and check-in prompts. These are scheduled entirely on your device. No notification data is sent to Haven's servers or any third-party service.
You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings or within the Haven app.
06
Haven is designed for adults undergoing or supporting fertility treatment. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 18. If you believe a child has used Haven, please contact us and we will address the concern — though Haven collects no data from any user in version 1.0.
07
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Since Haven version 1.0 stores all data on your device and collects nothing, you already have complete control. You can view, edit, or delete any data within the app, and deleting the app removes everything permanently.
If a future version of Haven processes any data on our servers, this section will be updated with full details of how to exercise your rights. You can also contact the ICO at ico.org.uk if you have concerns about how your data is handled.
08
Haven is a personal record-keeping and wellbeing companion. It is not a medical device, and it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. Medication preparation guides describe general processes — they do not replace instructions from your clinic or prescribing doctor.
Haven records what you tell it. It does not tell you what to do.
09
Future versions of Haven may introduce circle sharing (inviting a partner or supporter) and an encrypted relay server. If and when these features are introduced, this privacy policy will be updated before any new data processing begins. Any server-side processing will be documented transparently, including what is stored, for how long, and on what legal basis.
We will notify you of material changes through the app before they take effect.
